Job Description: Working as part of a team the main role includes providing care and safe transport for patients in a non-emergency situation. This may include picking up from a home address and dropping off at a Hospital appointment, or ensuring a patient gets home after a hospital stay.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collecting patients from their come address and helping if required
• Driving the patient to or from Hospital and home
• Transferring patients between Hospitals or medical facility.
• Assist Patients up and down stairs using carrying equipment when required.
• Carry our Daily inspection on the Ambulance, ensuring the vehicle is stocked and in full working condition for the shift.
• Complete relevant paperwork or via PDA when required.
• Ensure Ambulance is kept clean in accordance with infection control.
• Administer first aid when required.
• Render aid to those who need it.
• Ensure patient centric care is always given. Treating each patient with wholesome care and dignity
Qualifications:
• Full Training is provided.
• Good Communication skills
Requirements:
• Must hold a full UK Driving License for over three years with no more than six points (age restrictions may apply)
• Must be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS
• Be able to lift when required (Training and Equipment provided)
• This role involves working shifts that can include, early, lates, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
