Summary
As an HR Data Governance Analyst, you will work with business areas and key stakeholders across the TLB to develop a range of products such as dashboards to enable them to understand the workforce and it’s data throughout the employee life cycle. This could include base lining and segmenting workforce data to support workforce planning or tracking sickness absence data that will enable business areas to target appropriate interventions. You will create dashboards (using tools such as Power BI) for business areas that will use data visualisations to identify trends and enable them to generate insights. You will play a key role in data quality and accuracy as well as compliance with regulation and MOD and Army policy around how data is used, shared, and stored. Building capability in the use of evidence for decision making is key as well as ensuring continuous improvement in the way we communicate information to technical and non-technical audiences.
Main responsibilities will include:
Supporting the Deputy Head Data and Systems with HR Master data governance in respect of Civilian workforce data
Lead Civil Service data governance and access controls
Supporting the Workforce Planning and Analytics Lead to develop workforce insight and data products that deliver value to the stakeholders
Collating and analysing people data sets aligned to the employee life cycle
Leading the development of bespoke dashboards and working with broader teams to develop other MI products that are accessible to technical and non-technical groups
Ensuring that data is understood, its quality is known and it is fit for purpose and leading data cleanse activities where needed
Working with Defence Business Services team and other data and analytics stakeholder to gather required information for analysis
Supporting workforce planning activities including completion of bi-annual commission returns and building capability across business areas
Communicating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and subject matter experts both within the team and the wider business
Developing skills, knowledge, and capability of stakeholders in evidence-based practice
Supporting Directorate wide adhoc projects
