Personal Assistant Wanted for Friendly Autistic Teen
Hello! I'm a father looking for personal assistants for my 17-year-old son who has severe autism. We're seeking self-employed PAs to help him participate in activities and maintain a fulfilling routine.
About the job: You would support my son in various activities and help him engage with his environment. This includes:
• Accompanying him to leisure activities
• Assisting with transportation to and from activities
• Facilitating his participation and engagement in activities
• Providing appropriate support as needed
About my son: He's a 17-year-old boy with severe autism. He would like to participate in physical leisure activities like horse-riding, trampolining, sailing, walking around parts of Bristol, go-karting. We're looking to expand his experiences and keep him active in a supportive environment.
What we're looking for:
• Someone patient, compassionate, and adaptable
• A person with experience working with children and young people with autism (preferred)
• Someone physically fit and able to keep up with an active teen
• An individual who is reliable and has their own car for use
• First aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must pass a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
Job details:
• Hours:
o Term time: 8 hours/week
o Academic holidays: 30 hours/week
• Typical schedule (Exact hours to be arranged) between:
o Weekdays: 6pm to 8pm
o Weekends: 12pm to 6pm
• Pay rate: £11.44 per hour
• Legal requirement: Right to work in the UK (documentation will be checked)
