Support Worker/PA for a man in Kingswood (BS15).
Casual hours from £14 per hour.
A is 35 years old and has autism & learning difficulties. He needs a PA to assist him to access the community and get exercise. This would be lone working, supporting A to go for long walks in the countryside, to the gym, visiting attractions by car, bus or train. You would support A at home after the trip, until his mum comes home.
A has limited verbal skills, but is quite a calm person and does not need any personal care.
Essential:
You will need to have experience of supporting people with autism or learning difficulties.
You will need to be friendly, confident and outgoing, and willing to research and visit new places.
You will need to be active, enjoy long walks, and able to use gym equipment and swim, as A likes his support workers to join in his activities.
You will need your own car.
This position is initially to cover for other staff absences, mainly on Wednesdays, Monday Afternoons, and Saturday mornings. However other days are occasionally needed if you are available.
Hours are negotiable, as we are quite flexible.
