Working with the Local Housing Manager to co-ordinate the analysis and reporting of management and performance information to support continuous service, developments, and improvements in waiting list and allocations.

Identify corrective action required in core service delivery related to voids and allocations. Take forward improvement of existing, and development of new initiatives to complement and enhance the outcomes from operational delivery teams, ensuring effective linkages are in place between the different components of the Council’s services. Maximising income for the Housing Revenue account at all times.

It is essential that you have experience of managing waiting lists/ allocations and staff supervision; have effective IT, numeracy, communication, and report writing skills. You must be able to organise their own workload and the workload of others, work to deadlines and use initiative when making decisions.

A working knowledge of Choice Based Letting and marketing activities related to housing is desirable. In addition to an awareness of good practice across the housing sector and knowledge of performance management systems.

Normal hours of duty are 35 hours per week to be worked as directed between Monday to Sunday. You may be required to work extended hours during evenings and weekends including attendance at meetings and conferences/seminars as required.

Please note that this post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding for 18 Months or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is the earlier.
