This role is within the IT Operations Job Family, is a Application Operations Engineer role at Engineer - Applications Operations level, but carries the title Technical Systems Administrator within DTS.

Job Description:
As a Technical Systems Administrator in the Tooling Team you will carry out the day to day administration tasks across one or multiple digital Tools managed by the Tooling Team including Ardoq, ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Dynatrace and potentially others as the portfolio of the team grows. Typical activities will include the following:
* Develop technical and process documentation
* Develop technical configurations to meet business needs
* Complete on and off boarding for users and services
* Manage groups and permissions and advise on best practice
* Collaborate with team members to drive continuous improvement of our platforms
As new technology enables more efficient ways of working the role should support any ways tooling can help HMCTS orchestrate and automate their business processes.
You will be responsible for maintaining the stability and usability of the tools by carrying out application maintenance, performance monitoring and managing support for incidents related to any of the tools. The Systems Administrator will manage user and group access, provide advice to users and ensure compliance with security. The post holder will be expected to participate in business process improvement workshops with users looking to improve their processes using the tools and also participate in testing activities during the regular release and upgrade cycles.
You will be provided with training and hands on support on all the applications that fall within your remit in the Tooling Team and where applicable you will be given the opportunity to become certified in one or more of the applications i.e. ServiceNow, Atlassian, Dynatrace etc. The post holder will work closely with the Product Managers, Business Analysts, Delivery Manager, and Test Manager within the Tooling Team.
The Systems Administrator also develops relationships with suppliers and other Government departments using similar toolsets and keeps abreast of the latest developments within the tooling industry. This role will give you a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of the digital transformation in HMCTS as well as develop a broad range of effective business and technical skills.
