The Personal Assistant (PA) role directly supports Director DJEP. The PA works closely with the Private Secretary to support the Director, managing the diary and appointments as well as travel and IT issues. In addition, the role provides some wider support to the 1* Director's as well as contributing to corporate tasks including finance and other cross cutting issues.
You will find yourself in contact with many parts of the Department and the offices of MOD officials, including ministers, senior military and civilian officials, and key stakeholders such as the Government Legal Department. While making essential business contributions in this unique, high-profile role, you will have ample opportunity to develop the experience, knowledge and skills that will benefit your future career.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide support to the DJEP Director, sending emails on his behalf, obtaining contacts, and assisting with IT and phone issues. Lead on weekly diary meetings.
Effectively manage the Private Office mailbox and DJEP meeting room.
Effectively manage all PQ, FOI, No 10. Requests & MC queries issued to DJEP on e-Case and cases queries via email.
Alert the senior teams to upcoming deadlines and ongoing commitments; Liaise with colleagues to ensure that they are aware of the senior team’s schedules.
