We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our Workspace team, based at our state-of-the-art Head Office, One Strawberry Lane in Newcastle – the freshest workspace in town!

As our Facilities Coordinator, you’ll be our go-to person that ensures our workspace facilities operate smoothly, blending technical know-how with creative problem-solving as you take pride in creating a workspace that people love. No dull desk days here! Typical day as Facilities Coordinator

  • Coordinating day-to-day building operations and maintenance of our Workspace facilities and equipment. This includes checks and ensuring compliance with all statutory and non-statutory workplace requirements.
  • Managing our suppliers and contractors to ensure our building is safe, fully functional, and compliant. This may include coordinating services such as archiving, postage, waste, cleaning, maintenance, car parking, security, catering, plant maintenance, general supplies and pest control just to name a few.
  • Ensuring our SMART building systems are working effectively to ensure a great experience for all building users, including the BMS, AV equipment, Paxton NET2 and our building App.
  • You’ll ensure that workspace bookings are effectively delivered to ensure a seamless experience with meetings and events set up quickly and effectively. This will include supporting workplace adjustments, including DSE requirements, to create a truly inclusive environment.

You bring

  • Previous experience working in facilities management and with contractors/suppliers to support general building operations.
  • A good understanding of building systems (MEP, BMS) and workplace compliance (statutory and non-statutory), reasonable adjustments, and DSE requirements.
  • Understanding of procurement processes, purchasing and processes.
  • Be a self-starter, organised, proactive, with an eye for detail and brings a solutions focused approach.

Job details

  • Hours are 37.5 per week Monday to Friday.
  • This is an office-based role here at One Strawberry Lane
  • You’ll be issued with the latest kit, which could include a Surface Pro and mobile. So, it's important to us that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)
