More Detail about the role: Applications are invited from individuals who wish to work within this busy and friendly department at the RDUH Wonford. Once fully competent a large majority of time will be spent working at the Community Diagnostic Centre at the Nightingale Exeter but there will be an element of rotation with the Eastern site, Wonford. Documented evidence of ECG recognition is essential as the role will mainly involve analysis of Holter recordings. You will also be familiar with all elements of ECG recording and applying monitors although this will not be part of your daily routine. When on the main site at Wonford duties may include assisting in the performance of Exercise Treadmill tests and being able to correctly read and interpret the results. Training on supporting the specialist nursing team with ILR implants will be provided and it is envisaged that you will be able to support follow up clinics within the department. As an Associate Practitioner at the Nightingale you will need to be organised, confident and able to work alongside the multidisciplinary team that are based there. The Cardiology department offers a wide range of investigations, including ECG, ambulatory monitoring (24hr ECG and BP), event recorders, exercise stress testing, echocardiography (Transthoracic, TOE, contrast and stress), cardiac catheterisation, EPS and ablation, pacemaker implant and follow up, AICD implant and follow up. This post has been identified as involving access to vulnerable adults and/or children and in line with Trust policy successful applicants will be required to a undertake an Enhanced Disclosure Check.
