Assistant Shift Leader
Full time (40 Hours)- Permanent - up to £40,000 +15% SA, 4on4off Days/Nights, Swindon, parking on site.
Are you an Assistant Shift Leader who champions safety, experienced with monitoring plant operationsand good time management, looking to join a thriving manufacturing team to support the ongoing development of the plant within the green energy sector?
The role:
Commissioning execution, DCS management -Operating the plant, vias DCS or field
Preparing additives for process plant - based on predicted requirements
MPI, measurement and analysis - Plant performance
Assisting Shift Team Leader (STL)- Operational decisions
In absence of STL -issuing of permits etc
Management of the lock-out/Tag out systems - removing isolations when required.
Support STL - shift handovers, updating and maintaining records of activity.
Develop working relationships at all levels in and outside of the organisation including contractors
Ensure all completed works and staff are working in accordance with health and safety procedures - SOP's, PPE, safety assessments, accident reporting.
The Person:
Proven ability to work and direct safely.
Proven ability to supervise safe plant operations - including reporting of trials.
Experience in process plant operation.
Experience in the use of a distributed control system and/or SCADA/PLC based system.
HND or equivalent. NEBOSH H&S Work or equivalent. Authorised person. (Site safety Rules)
Desirable-5 years+ experience in related industry (Waste, energy from waste, process environments) or Process, Electrical, Instrumentation/Controls or Mechanical qualifications or experience
