Vacant Position: Masjid Imam (Muslim Clergy) position (SOC Code 2463)

Job Description
· Lead 5 daily congregations from Monday to Sunday.
· Lead Jummah (Friday) prayer/sermon with lecture in English, Urdu & Arabic.
· Teach Madrassa (Islamic school) between Monday to Friday 5pm to 7pm.
· Teach children Islamic studies and Quran.
· Lead various adult classes throughout the week.
· Participate in community events.
· Deliver Lectures in monthly regular events.

Details of the skill, experience and qualifications required for the post on offer:

Experience:
Must have at least minimum of 3 years’ experience as Imam (Clergy) and Islamic teacher. Certification and References required.

Qualification and Skills:
Successful candidate must have minimum qualification in hifz (Quran by heart), Tajweed (correct pronunciation of Quran), Qiraayat (correct recitation of Quran) and Alim/Moulana status. Be From the Sunni Hanafi School of Thought. Certification to be provided for qualifications. Islamic Moulana studies (Required) - Certification required

Working Hours:
Working hours in a week can vary depending on the shift pattern. But we guarantee that our workers will be paid for at least 30 hours of work every week. If they work more than 30 hours per week, this will be counted as additional hours. We can guarantee that the worker will be paid above the National Minimum Wages for the any overtime.
Salary: - £23,000 Per Annum
