Crynodeb

This Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project will develop an AI-enabled Intelligent Legal Service Platform (ILSP) to transform legal workflows by automating repetitive legal tasks and streamlining legal processes, which will be unique in the sector. The ILSP will be a connected framework for multiple data points and their interaction with all Harper James’ business areas.

Harper James is a full-service commercial law firm providing expert legal services to UK businesses, having supported 4,400 business to date. It offers an innovative service model with highly differentiated pricing plans designed to make expert legal advice more accessible, especially for ambitious, high growth and entrepreneurial businesses, primarily SMEs, to grow from start-up to scale-up and beyond.

The KTP aligns with Harper James’ strategic plan to integrate GenAI to overhaul service pricing and delivery, allowing the business to automate and standardise many aspects of legal work, moving forward a more scalable and client-centric service model.

This KTP is a great opportunity for someone who wishes to plan and deliver business change. You will work with senior University academics on a commercial project which puts theory and modelling into practice.

Candidate Profile: Minimum Masters’ level degree in Machine Learning (ML) and/or Data Analytics with relevant practical / work experience in the field. A PhD would be desirable.
