The Vacancy
The Barnet Group is seeking to recruit a Programme Manager for the Jobs Plus Project. The role will report to the BOOST Manager and will work closely with The BOOST Team.
Jobs Plus programme aim:
The BOOST Jobs Plus programme aims to improve employment outcomes in a deprived estate in Barnet (the Grange Estate, East Finchley). Jobs Plus brings together a range of support services under one roof, in a community setting. The support provided via Jobs+ includes housing, employment, health, skills, digital and financial inclusion.
While the design of Jobs+ aims to improve employment outcomes, the overall objective of the pilot is to provide an evidence base which demonstrates whether, or not, the Jobs+ model in a UK context is feasible and/or effective. The key output, being the evidence, will be delivered through a published evaluation which will be able to inform future decisions regarding the model being delivered at a greater scale.
What you'll be doing:
-Engaging with people in the targeted community
-Using Community Champions to maximise take-up
-Providing financial incentives to find and retain employment
-Assessing people holistically and getting them the right assistance
-Focusing on getting people into work
-Delivering personally tailored support, including traditional employment activities such as job seeking, CV and application support
-Linking to employers and building partner networks to grow the service offer
