Responsibilities
Lead the kitchen team in preparing high-quality dishes that consistently meet our standards.
Oversee the preparation of ingredients and manage inventory to ensure freshness and quality.
Develop and implement new recipes and menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients.
Train and mentor junior cooks and kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to in the kitchen at all times.
Assist in managing kitchen staff schedules and daily operations for optimal efficiency.
Collaborate with management on menu planning and food cost management strategies.
Requirements
Proven experience as a cook in a busy kitchen environment, preferably in a senior role.
Extensive knowledge of various cooking styles, techniques, and cuisines.
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in food prep and presentation.
Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to fast-paced environments.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Culinary degree or certification from a recognized culinary school is preferred.
