The postholder will: be adept at applying and adapting project methodologies, but not at the expense of delivery and will be able to demonstrate a strong record of getting the job done. ensure that all contracting and operational engineering maintenance requirements of buildings, plant, utility and infrastructure projects are specified to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, safety and quality standards. be responsible for providing technical advice to the wider Specialist Microbiological Sites to ensure all engineering systems within the site operate efficiently on a day to day basis and remain compliant with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements. carry out root cause analysis where systems fail. actively support the management of FMD in their daily operations carrying out audits for financial, commercial and technical. Essential criteria Degree qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering or other constructional function Experience in an Engineering operational role Experience in a Project Management operational role Experience of Regulatory Audits to ensure compliance Experience in preparing engineering technical documentation Evidence of continued professional development Experience of managing risks and reporting Experience of monitoring budgets and business planning processes Demonstrated experience of engineering maintenance in complex and challenging environments Demonstrated experience of commissioning engineering systems Demonstrated experience of contract management An understanding of and commitment to equality of opportunity and good working relationships. Desirable criteria Chartered Engineering Status Selection Process Stage 1: Application & Sift You will be required to complete an application form. Security Clearance Level Requirement Successful candidates must pass a disclosure and barring security check. Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is Counter-terrorist Check. For meaningful National Security Vetting checks to be carried out individuals need to have lived in the UK for a sufficient period of time. You should normally have been resident in the United Kingdom for the last 3 years as the role requires Counter Terrorism Check (CTC) clearance.
