37 Hours per Week
The service covers the full breath of Trading Standards work from dealing with rogue traders to product safety, as well as food standards and metrology. The successful candidate will therefore need to have experience across a variety of work streams. Whilst experience in food standards and metrology is desirable, it is not essential, although you must hold the Trading Standards Practitioner Diploma (TSPD) or equivalent (DCATS, DTS, DCA). Please do not apply unless you hold these qualifications.
You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to manage a diverse workload. You will have a proven track record of successful enforcement activity and be comfortable line managing an active team of officers.
A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at Enhanced level is required for this post.
