An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Pharmacy Homecare Team within the (UHDB) University Hospitals of Derby & Burton Pharmacy High-Cost Drugs & Commissioning Team.

The successful candidate will need to have exceptional communication skills, to be conscientious, reliable, well organised, good numeracy and literacy skills and the individual should be able to prioritise their own workload effectively. Experience in homecare medicines services may be beneficial but is not essential.

The candidate will provide support to the Senior Homecare Technician in managing and developing the pharmacy operational technical service related to medicines homecare at UHDB. Some of the main duties of the role include:
• To provide technical support to the Pharmacy High-Cost Drugs & Commissioning Team and other relevant Pharmacy support teams
• To help ensure that UHDB medicines homecare services are of a consistently high standard by regular liaison with UHDB clinical teams, and representatives of homecare companies
• Responsible for the day to day duties relating to homecare medicines supplies including prescription management, patient registration and GDPR forms
• Discussing complex information with clinical teams when querying prescriptions
