We are looking for a proactive individual to join our retail support team as Merchandising & Range Manager, based at our Head Office in Newbridge, on a temporary basis for 18 months.


The Merchandiser & Range Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that products are available in the right quantities, at the right time, and at the right stores. This position works closely with space & category management teams along with supply chain to ensure the seamless execution of product assortment strategies and stock management.


Our ideal candidate will have retail experience and have strong analytical skills.


The Role


Key accountabilities will include:


Product Planning:

  • Co-ordinate with space & category teams to assess & select from available planogram clusters from buying group.
  • Collaborate with category and local teams to plan & implement product ranges and determine the appropriate timing for range reviews and product launches.
  • Develop approaches to improve product assortment to hit sales and waste targets and meet customer needs.

Stock Management:

  • Review planogram shelf capacities and minimum stock rules to support availability
  • Monitor stock levels and availability to identify focus areas and opportunities
  • Support development of the order calculation to improve replenishment
  • Manage promotional planograms and stock setup

Product Performance Analysis:

  • Review performance of range and provide insights to aid product strategy
  • Review stock and availability levels against demand and assess performance of capacity & stock policies
  • Develop approaches to forecasting to better anticipate future stock requirements

Requirements:

  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proficient in using various software applications, including Excel, PowerPoint and become key user of our Merchandising and Stock Management systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven mindset.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, managing priorities and meeting deadlines.
