An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Sports Development team at AoC Sport as the Sport Development Officer for the South
East and South West regions. In this role you will be working collaboratively to develop the sport and physical activity
opportunities to students in colleges at all levels, focusing on sustaining participation in sport and organising and supporting
our competition pathway. With responsibility for the delivery of a range of events, including Regional Tournaments, and to shape
our approach to sport development projects, this role must provide an outstanding level of service to our member colleges and
external partners. This is an exciting time to join our team as we plan to meet the challenges of the Government and Sport England
strategies as well as our own recently published strategic framework.

We are looking for someone with a sports development background to lead on development of high quality competition and development
opportunities in the SE and SW regions, with a key role in managing the delivery of the AoC Sport regional tournaments, local
development opportunities and wider AoC Sport competitions and events. Ideally the candidate will have experience of building
partnerships as they will lead on partnerships with key organisations regionally and nationally.

A knowledge of AoC Sport programmes and in particular how they are embedded into FE Colleges is essential and a key history of
being able to manage and build strong relationships with colleges to support and enhance competitive sport regionally and
nationally.

AoC has a culture of high performance and commitment and we expect and get a lot from our staff. We offer trust and autonomy in a
highly flexible working environment with a great package of rewards that includes a generous holiday entitlement, final salary
pension scheme, opportunities for professional development including sponsorship of professional qualifications. We also know that
our passion for the further education sector, and our focus on enabling colleges to help people realise their talents and
ambitions, act as a great motivator for working at AoC.
