Delivery and Oversight is a team within the Workforce Training & Education (WTE) regional function. Its core purpose is tomaintain oversight of all delivery and performance activity across the regional WTE Directorate, alongside governance and the provision of business support, including administrative and PA support to the senior leadership and operational office management.
The main activities of this team will include:
• Performance monitoring, reporting and assurance on delivery of function objectives – including in accordance with the Board Assurance Framework.
• Coordination of the Delivery Plan for the function.
• Ensuring effective governance and business management processes for the function – including secretariat services for principal meetings (e.g., Regional People Board, Regional People Leadership Group, WT&E Senior Leadership Team), coordination of function communications, seeking and providing assurance on function compliance, in line with the corporate operating framework.
The purpose of the Delivery and Oversight team is to develop, implement and manage systems and processes that will support the effective delivery of national and local priorities and ensure the efficient operation of the Workforce Training & Education (WT&E) function for the region, as well as local offices in North East and Yorkshire.
As part of the Delivery and Oversight team, the key purpose of the Business Support Assistant is to provide a dynamic, responsive and ‘customer-orientated’ business administration service to the regional WT&E senior management team, under the overall direction of the Head of Oversight and Delivery, including office support and general administrative duties.
The NHS England board have set out the top-level purpose for the new organisation to lead the NHS in England to deliver high-quality services for all, which will inform the detailed design work and we will achieve this purpose by:
• Enabling local systems and providers to improve the health of their people and patients and reduce health inequalities.
• Making the NHS a great place to work, where our people can make a difference and achieve their potential.
• Working collaboratively to ensure our healthcare workforce has the right knowledge, skills, values and behaviours to deliver accessible, compassionate care
• Optimising the use of digital technology, research, and innovation
• Delivering value for money.
