Job Advert

Build the world you want to live in with a career in the infrastructure property sector.

We are looking for ambitious Graduates to join our growing Infrastructure teams in Birmingham.

Our society is changing, as can be seen in news reports every day. Housing shortages, changing high streets, water shortages,
climate change, biodiversity, energy supplies, renewable energy and the switch to electric cars from 2035 are all issues that our
society is facing today. Our towns, cities and countryside have to adapt to the change, and you could be part of building the
world we want to live in.

The team:

Our infrastructure team is the fastest growing of its kind in the country, now with 180 people in seven offices around the UK,
working with major clients including Network Rail, HS2, National Highways, National Grid, Homes England and the Crown Estate.

Operating in both rural and urban environments, our Infrastructure graduates are directly involved in delivering the world we need
for the 21st Century and beyond. We cover an array of services to clients within the following sectors:

* Energy
* Minerals & Waste
* Regeneration
* Telecommunications
* Utilities
* Transport
* Geospatial / GIS
* Property / Asset management

The role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an effective individual to become part of our small friendly and growing land referencing team
that has a substantial track record for delivering quality services to support some of the country’s biggest infrastructure
schemes. These include Renewables, Transport, Utilities and Regeneration. We provide robust land referencing services to
clients, following strict methodologies and diligent enquiry to support access to land and statutory applications for development
consent. Such as Compulsory Purchase Orders, Development Consent Orders, Hybrid Bill and Transport and Works Act Orders
supporting the consenting and delivery of major infrastructure projects.

You will work on a variety of different projects assisting with desktop and contact referencing of affected parties. Data
management, collection, interpretation and analysing land data. You will assist with large mail outs, management of incoming and
outgoing mail and incoming emails to the team inbox. You will contribute towards production of clear and accurate legal
documentation such as, Book of Reference, Order Plans, Notices, and Schedule. There will be opportunities to go out onsite to
seek completion of questionnaires or to erect/monitor site notices in addition to attending client meetings and liaising with
affected parties, agents and other third parties.

You will take an active role in the development and implementation of efficient, ‘best practice’ internal systems and processes,
optimising IT and other resources. You will gain experience in some specialised and sought-after skills in land referencing and
production of statutory documents which are in short supply in the market.

Clients are at the heart of what we do, so ensuring you develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients is essential,
this includes attending client meetings and preparing communications.

What will it take to be successful?

We are interested in receiving applications from students available to join us in Autumn 2025 who have a keen interest in the
infrastructure of our country and the ways we can make a difference to the world we live in.

Ideally a degree or qualification in geography, planning or similar relating to land would be advantageous alongside a basic
understanding of land referencing such as tenures of land, land classification and familiarity with HM Land Registry. Candidates
should be familiar with Microsoft office applications, have a strong work ethic, great organisational skills, able to work as part
of a team and independently.

You should have an understanding of the importance of handling confidential information, good attention to detail, ability to
multitask and prioritise workloads. Excellent communication skills and a positive approach to learning new skills and development
is essential. Candidates must be willing to travel and ideally will have a full clean driving licence.

Application deadline: 8th November 2024
