An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced midwife to join the labour ward coordinators team based at the North Manchester site. You will learn to coordinate both the midwives and the MDT whilst ensuring effective and safe patient flow and a quality intrapartum service adhering to local and national guidelines.
An exciting opportunity has arisen due to the emerging nature of midwifery services in Manchester for one highly skilled and experienced midwife to join the leadership team in Saint Mary's Division as a Labour ward Coordinator on the North Manchester general hospital site.
The successful candidate will be able to display excellent communication skills, current evidence based intrapartum practice and an ability to work within a fast-paced acute environment.
You will coordinate a team of midwives and develop practice as a midwifery expert; providing advice to colleagues in the organisation and working in partnership with a range of other agencies.
You will be resilient and able to manage complex situations as well as being well organised and innovative. A proven track record of supporting change processes, coupled with good influencing and negotiation skills are key attributes required for these posts in order to provide an integrated and effective service focusing on the delivery and assurance of safe, high quality patient care across our services.
In this key role you will work closely with both the Labour Ward Manager, the Midwifery Matron for Intrapartum Care, Deputy Head of Midwifery and the Head of Midwifery.
