Summary


We are looking to recruit a Clinical Trials Administrator within Research and Innovation (R&I) at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) to support research across MFT hospitals. This enthusiastic and self-motivated individual will help coordinate the research portfolio for the Rheumatology & Musculoskeletal team.

The job vacancy is band 4/5 vacancy.

The successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator with effective organisation skills and be confident in managing a demanding and varied workload. Excellent IT skills and the ability to work with several projects simultaneously are essential.

The post holder will act as the main point of contact for Rheumatology & Musculoskeletal research, working closely with the MFT Research Office, clinical colleagues, and service support departments within MFT along with external pharmaceutical companies. They will ensure that comprehensive, high quality and efficient administrative processes are in place and followed for the set up and coordination of studies, ensuring full compliance with internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the regulatory framework in order to support the successful delivery of the research portfolio for this specialty.

The post-holder will ensure R&I targets for study set-up are achieved within agreed timeframes and any problems are resolved locally or escalated in a timely fashion to the Clinical Trials Manager.

They should be educated to degree level in a health-related discipline or have demonstrable experience in the conduct and management of research and clinical trials.

Line management experience would be desirable.

The post holder will be required to work cross site across our research campuses.
