Salary: Pay Grade BG9
Hours: 30 hrs week Term Time Only 1 year Temporary
Start Date: 1st November 2024Working in the Hospital Education Service the member of staff will be required to plan deliver and assess progress from an intervention programme for students who are unable to attend their on-roll school due to their health condition and EBSA (emotionally based school avoidance).
The post is required to ensure the City Council meets its statutory requirements (under DfES 00307/2013) as efficiently and cost effectively as possible.
The member of staff is required on a one-year contract initially, although this may be extended if the programme is successful at raising engagement of this group of students substantially.
The post holder will also provide support to the BHES staff team in maintaining the learning environment at BHES sites.
Key Job Outcomes
2. Ensuring that the range of activities in the programme is varied and attractive for students.
3. Transporting students around the city using service or your own vehicles.
4. Planning, chairing and recording multi agency reviews for students.
5. Keeping records which allow reporting to families and multi-agency stakeholders.
6. Planning a graded engagement to activities which results in a graduated induction to groups learning.
