Summary

The Revenues and Benefits service has a vital role in the billing and collection of Council Tax, Business Rates, and assessment of Benefits. We currently have an opportunity to join our team as a Revenues and Benefits Senior Systems and Support Officer.

You will ensure the delivery of efficient and effective systems provision and software applications in order to support the Revenues and Benefits teams in Shared Transactional Services. You will take a lead on the technical and complex aspects of the team and support the maintenance and control of the relevant computer systems used by the different teams within Revenues. You will also be required to provide technical advice and guidance in respect of the collation of government and other statutory returns and identify developments in the system, usually from new releases, that could provide more efficient and effective service delivery.

What you will need to do the role:
This role requires the ideal candidate to have experience in working within a Revenues and Benefits department using the Capita Academy Revenues system. Alternative relevant experience on other equivalent revenues systems will be considered.
Ideally you will also have experience and competency in the use of databases and methods of data extraction eg SQL, Access reports, using excel to manipulate and present statistical data to non-technical users.

This role is suitable for agile / flexible working.
