• We are increasing the Breast Cancer Nursing team to support our Surgical breast cancer pathway.
• This role is to support patients through the surgical pathway as well as support when required oncology and stratified follow-up services.
• We are looking for applicates for band 7 post with relevant experience although we could consider as band 6 (training post) depending on level of experience.
• As a Breast Cancer CNS you will work as part of the multidisciplinary team ensuring that patients with breast cancer receive the highest standard of care and support from the time of diagnosis and throughout the cancer pathway, working in partnership with our specialist cancer multidisciplinary team you will manage these patients along the care pathway.
• To be successful you will be required to have a good understanding of all Surgical and Oncology treatment modalities related to breast cancer.
• Experience of working within this speciality and knowledge of the issues surrounding breast cancer care and treatment are essential along with advanced communication skills.
• The post holder will be able to work independently to provide nurse-led services alongside our lead breast cancer nurses.
