This is an exciting opportunity for a Children’s Nurse with relevant and demonstrable experience, who is looking to develop their knowledge and skills in working with children and young people within the community setting. Experience of working in a community setting is essential. You should have appropriate clinical and communication skills and be able to work independently, as well as part of the multi-agency team.
Operational hours of the service are Monday to Sunday, 08.00am – 10pm, including Bank Holidays. You may be required to provide on call support as a senior member of the team, for children and young people requiring end of life care.
You will work as part of a the children’s community nursing team where all team members have varied skills and competence in the management of caring for the child with acute care, chronic and complex, palliative and end of life care needs. The successful applicant will be able to work independently under the direction of children’s community nursing team manager and work well within the team. They will also enjoy teaching and supporting pre -registration student nurses and junior members of the team.
Shift work will be required to cover 7 days a week 8am-10pm. Applicants must have a valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
