Record to Report Finance Manager
£65,000 - £75,000 plus benefits (Work Level 5)

We're looking for a Record to Report (R2R) Finance Manager to join the Record to Report team within our wider Co-op Business Services (CBS) organisation. CBS is made up of a number of diverse teams dedicated to delivering high-quality, reliable and cost-effective business services across our Co-op. You'll play a key role in helping CBS to support and realise our group vision of 'co-operating to build more value for member-owners every day'.


In this role we'll look to you to play a key role in driving financial control by leading an effective and high-performing financial accounting and fixed assets team. You'll collaborate with different business areas and our service centre to implement efficient and robust financial accounting processes. What you'll do
- Prepare and review complex balance sheet reconciliations including fixed assets reconciliations across our corporate business, highlighting key risks or issues to senior partners
- Oversee the end-to-end fixed assets function for the business ensuring the fixed assets register and reconciliations are accurate and compliant
- Line manage a team of 15 plus colleagues - coaching, mentoring and driving a culture of continuous improvement
- Make sure as a team we operate in a highly controlled environment adhering to financial controls and regulations
- Support the financial transformation programme and other business change activity by working closely with project teams to identify and implement continuous process improvement opportunities and process transformation
- Act as a centre of excellence for balance sheet control, identifying and driving process and reconciliation improvements across Co-op
- Work with external and internal audit, producing all required information for year end and interim audit processes
- Review the teams accounting work and balance sheet reconciliations, checking for accuracy


This role would suit people who have
- A professional accountant  qualification (CIMA/ACCA) or significant Record to Report experience in a managerial role
- A broad knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and statutory accounts
- An in-depth knowledge of fixed assets accounting 
- Experience of driving continuous improvement  and implementing process efficiencies
- Experience managing and mentoring a successful team
- Experience of project management and delivery
