As part of our Finance team, you’ll deliver financial insight and advice to drive improvements in financial performance, ensuring financial activity is underpinned by robust governance, internal controls, and assurance. You’ll lead our management reporting function which will include responsibility for month-end management accounts, managing the Business Partner team, developing our forecasting capabilities, leading the annual budget process, and leading our long-term business plan.

What you’ll be doing:

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will deliver high quality financial insight and advice which will drive improved financial performance across ForHousing, whilst ensuring all financial activity is under-pinned by a robust environment of governance, internal control and assurance.

Lead, motivate and develop a team, ensuring collaboration and that they understand how their role supports the achievement of the Finance Strategy and wider ForHousing Strategy. 

This is a key role which will take the lead in management reporting, including responsibility for the following areas:
• Lead, manage and deliver high quality, timely month-end management accounts
• Manage the Business Partner team to ensure the month-end close process is efficient and effective to provide insight to inform decision-making by EMT and the Board
• Lead and develop the forecasting capability of the team to optimise financial performance
• Lead the annual budget process within agreed timescales, ensuring key organisational metrics are achieved, and Budget Holders are fully engaged and are accountable for their areas of responsibility
• Manage the provision of value-add finance business partnering and FP&A to ForHousing Executive Management Team, Senior Leadership Team and Budget Holders with a culture shift to foreword looking risk and horison scanning
• Lead on the annual ForHousing’s long-term (30-year) business plan, ensuring viability is regularly tested through scenario modelling, appraisals, and stress tests

This role will be key in supporting the delivery of a proactive and high-quality financial service, which will require collaboration across the business, to develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in a similar role at a strategic, senior level.
• Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
