Neway is seeking an Arboricultural Officer to join our client based with Runnymede Council.
Assisting the tree officer with enquiries, reactive tree issues, regular and reactive inspections, issuing of works orders, checking tree works, closing orders and any other issues relating to arboricultural services at Runnymede Borough Council. The candidate needs to be able to competently assess the condition of trees and identify any risks. They need to be able to prescribe necessary works in accordance with British standards and best practice. The candidate needs to have a professional tree inspection qualification and/or level 4 in Arboriculture. They need to have had at least two years of experience in a Aboricultural surveyor role or similar. The candidate needs to be proficient with tree survey software (Runnymede Borough Council uses Treesmart) and Microsoft software. The candidate needs to be self motivated, able to use own initiative, able to work alone and form a good working relationship with colleagues, contractors and the public.
