The starting salary for this role is £35,730 per annum for working 36 hours per week.
We are currently recruiting for a Coroner's Officer to join us in our fantastic team, based in Woking. As a Coroner's Officer you will provide a high-quality service to bereaved families by progressing cases efficiently and with empathy. Could you help support the Senior Coroner deliver their judicial duties in a role where no two days are the same? - Be the single point of contact for bereaved families an provide them with regular updates
- Assist the Coroner in their investigations
- Manage your own caseload from referral to inquest
- Work with other key stakeholders and partners: doctors, pathologists to obtain evidence for the coronial investigations
- Experience of working within a coronial service, the police, legal profession or other investigatory or regulatory profession
- Analytically minded in order to perform this investigation driven role
- Experience of providing high levels of customer care and professionalism to members of the public
- Ability to write well structured, clear and concise reports using information gathered from multiple sources (for example, from families, GPs, the police or other health professionals)
- Excellent IT skills and the ability to follow defined processes in a timely manner
