Lawyer – Grade I
Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Lawyer – Grade I to join our legal team. As a Lawyer – Grade I, you will be responsible for providing high-quality legal advice and representation to our clients. You will handle a wide range of legal matters and contribute to the successful resolution of cases. The successful candidate will have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a strong commitment to upholding the principles of justice.
Responsibilities
Conducting legal research and analyzing case law, statutes, regulations, and legal documents.
Providing expert legal advice and representation to clients in civil and criminal matters.
Drafting legal documents such as contracts, agreements, pleadings, and motions.
Representing clients in court proceedings and negotiations.
Interviewing clients and witnesses to gather information relevant to legal proceedings.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
Managing and prioritizing multiple caseloads and deadlines.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on Environment, Trading Standards, Licensing, Children and Family Services, Housing, Debt Recovery, Litigation, Anti-Social Behaviour, Lifelong Learning, Leisure, Social Services, Property, Contracts, Corporate Governance, Planning, Transport and Development.
Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and procedures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
The role will be hybrid working. Office attendance will be required as necessary as may attendance at Tribunals.
Hours Per Week: 37.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £22.51
