We are now recruiting for a Mobile Streetworks Supervisor covering the Brighton postcode area. Job reference number 316685

Salary
- £33,137.36 per annum 22.5 days annual leave, rising to 25 after 5 years’ service plus bank holidays.
Contract Type: Permanent The Role
The Streetworks Supervisor will support the Technical Services Manager in the provision of a specific facilities service to the Street Furniture & Assets product within a broad-based geographical area, to ensure safety and compliance, meet and exceed financial, customer service, quality and service level agreement requirements in the most effective manner.
Full time 37.5 hours per week (excluding meal breaks)
- typical attendance will be 08:00 until 16:00 Monday to Friday however, flexibility is essential. Key aspects of the role include:

- Lead, coach and motivate the team to ensure that all contractual obligations, internal targets and customer standards are met and exceeded
- Identify training and development needs within the team
- Be the engineer’s first point of contact in resolving technical and process issues. providing logistical support to the engineers through procuring materials/parts, or contractor support and liaising with Technical Services Manager to coordinate resource for annual leave.
- Work independently, but within a framework with the other Street Furniture Supervisors, co-ordinating the efforts of Street Furniture based engineers and contractors regarding movement of staff, as necessary and ensuring best practice is shared
- Liaison and coordination with local authorities including applications for Highways notices via administrators to ensure compliance with NRWS Legislation and provide traffic management support and plans as required, working closely with the Technical Services Manager to coordinate and plan works. Undertaking the role of Nominated Supervisor under New Roads Street Works legislation ensuring RMPFS engineers and contractors fully comply with Legislation, Local Authority and RMPFS policies and through guidance, site visits and audits.
- Apply knowledge in a range of technical situations, making personal judgements on how to achieve best quality, cost and time objectives, providing hands-on support to engineers, as required.
- Undertake normal work duties of an Assets Engineer within your geographic area, your area and workloads would be assessed to allow time for supervising effectively
- Accountable for Site Supervisor obligations under New Road Street Works
- Create a culture of support, cooperation, collaboration and teamwork across the Assets product
- Bring support to the Technical Services Manager to ensure Safety, Compliance, Efficiency and Technical Solutions

About You

- To have knowledge of and be trained as a SWQR “Street Works Supervisor”, as defined and in compliance with, The “Street Works Act”
- To have comprehensive technical knowledge of the Street Furniture & Assets product and processes.
- Be computer literate, particularly in excel and outlook e-mail
- Have good communication skills
- Have the ability to motivate, develop and lead the team.
- Be able to understand and provide high levels of customer service and to build relationships.
- Have good commercial and business awareness and be innovative.
- A full manual UK driving licence is required
