Summary


We are recruiting for this opportunity for a qualified Clinical Physiologist/Scientist to join a friendly, aspirational team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

You will be based at Charing Cross Hospital and become a vital member of a team providing multi-site Clinical Neurophysiology services and commitment to quality improvement in line with our current pursuit of UKAS accreditation.

The department actively participates in STP and HSST training and currently has Year 3 and Year 1 clinical scientist Trainees and a Year 2 Consultant Scientist Trainee. You will be actively involved in STP training.

We provide the full range of neurophysiological investigations for adults and children, including Electroencephalography (EEG), Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS), multi-modal Evoked Potentials (EPs), Ambulatory and Video-Telemetry. There is a long-term plan for in-house intra-operative monitoring.

Ideally you will have excellent communication and teamwork skills and will work collaboratively with the Lead Clinical Physiologist and other healthcare professionals to maintain and improve service provision.

The post holder should have a BSc in Clinical Neurophysiology with RCCP/AHCS registration or be an HCPC-registered Clinical Scientist.Newly qualified clinical scientists awaiting HCPC registration are welcome to apply.
• Appropriately qualified in Clinical Neurophysiology with significant relevant professional experience.
• Competent and confident in performing in a range of neurophysiological investigations in dedicated and non-dedicated environments, on adult and paediatric patients.
• Responsible for taking appropriate action during patient investigations if serious abnormalities are identified.
• Able to interpret results accurately and produce high-quality reports in a timely manner.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers for the smooth and efficient running of the service.
• Able to participate in STP training and education of junior and other staff groups.
• Able to participate in quality assurance and improvement, audit, research and development
