We have a unique opportunity for a developmental role within the Operations Team for Emergency and Acute Medicine. This role will provide strategic and operational support for both care groups.

You will have demonstrable experience working under pressure in an acute clinical environment and be able to meet deadlines and effectively prioritise different tasks. Working alongside the Operations Managers, gaining experience and knowledge, and undertaking responsibility for a range of tasks, projects, and services most likely including:
• Single point of contact- developing your relationships across the trust.
• Operational support with Projects, Cost Improvement Programmes, and delivering the Trust Strategy.

You will work across 2 care groups within Division B: Acute Medicine (including the Emergency Department and Acute Medical Unit) and Acute Medicine (17 inpatient wards). Good IT skills are required for this role- both Trust Systems and Microsoft.

This is a developmental role- progressing from band 5 to band 6.

The role is covering core hours ( shifts covering 8 am-6 pm Monday-Friday).

Key Responsibilities
• Effective day to day operational management.
• Ongoing improvement of efficiency and service delivery; identifying opportunities for transformation and improvement of patient experience.
• To support the Senior Management Team in ensuring operational effectiveness across all services and patient pathways.
• Responsible for leading and supporting team leaders and teams to ensure coordinated and streamlined administrative processes which recognise the patients and their individual needs.
• Providing support to and cover for peers as and when appropriate, escalating where appropriate.
• Provision of data and evidence to support Care Group in the development of services.
