This is a chance to join an exciting and growing department of 25 imagers. Candidates should be enthusiastic and prepared to work in a busy environment with a flexible approach to working hours as some evening and weekend work will be included as well as working in our cross-site locations including Lymington Hospital as required.

A suitable technical qualification is desirable and experience of similar work would be an advantage.
You will need to be a good communicator as you will be dealing with older patients, some with visual impairment. The successful applicant will be asked to work independently and as part of the wider team and to able to provide supervision and training to junior members of the team.

Duties will include:
• Helping to train and supervise
trainee Ophthalmic imagers
• Visual field measurements
• Disc imaging
• OCT, FFA/ICG
• Slit lamp photography as well as retina, anterior segment and external eye imaging including video.

Some management activity, including contribution to departmental policies and procedures will be expected.

As there will be a requirement for off-site working, an ability to drive would be desirable. The position is for 37.5 hours per week, usually worked over 4 days.
