Leadership/Management In collaboration with membersofthe MDT develop patient information resources utilising the views of users and patient partnershipgroups. Attend and participate in Divisional, Trust and Network committees and steering groups asrequired. Evaluate the existing PCOS service, identifying gaps and making recommendations on improvements and their implementation in orderofpriority. In collaboration with the MDT and lead clinician, to regularly review Trust policies relating to clinical practice, and to develop new policies as necessary based upon current research findings andensure effectiveimplementation. Education and Research Maintain a professional awareness of developments in research, nursing practice and currenttrends within the fieldsof PCOS/Endocrine Nursing. Assess the skills and training needs of staff and in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, identify priority areas and maintain educational programs in order to deliver expert and specialist care for patients andcarers. Promote and demonstrate evidencebasedpractice, participate audit projects and encourage and support staff thatwishto be actively involved in research and service development in line with local and national initiatives. Identify personal training needs and career development in conjunction with the Lead Endocrine clinician. Identifying and utilising appropriateresources. Promoteownprofessional development by attending appropriate conferences, courses and study days, accessing and utilising relevantinformation. To be responsible for complying withTrust andlocal Safeguarding policies andprocedures.
