If you want to spend your days building relationships, empowering customers to manage their homes and improving their lives within an organisation rated as a Great Place to Work - you belong at Bromford.

As a housing enabler, you will work closely with customers with mental health and learning difficulties living at our schemes in Worcester and Bromsgrove. You will support our customers in understanding their responsibilities, you will coordinate maintenance activities and provide guidance that empowers them to make the right decisions.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring the schemes are always in a good state of repair and that our customers are safe and secure. It will be your job to stay on top of voids and lettings, making sure that new customers have everything they need and that we provide a high-quality living environment. You’ll work flexibly and be a familiar face in the local community, encouraging residents to engage. Therefore, experience in bringing your knowledge of housing matters and combined with a customer-centric approach will be ideal.

We are looking for someone who believes in people and their potential to achieve more. You must be approachable and flexible, willing to have honest conversations that move people to action and have excellent time management skills; being able to juggle conflicting priorities and yet still achieve results.

This is a full-time, permanent role where you will be working with our adult customers who have learning difficulties and mental health challenges. You will work across two of our schemes in Bryson Place, Bromsgrove (B61 8DY) and Charles Court, Worcester (WR5 1DD). The role requires an Enhanced and Adult Barred List DBS check.

You will be someone who:

  • Has experience working with people with mental health and/or learning disabilities and an awareness of difficulties our vulnerable customers may face
  • Has an understanding or experience of housing management
  • Has experience of working with lots of organisations and professionals including commissioners, care providers and social work teams

  • Has a track record of being self-motivated, flexible and able to manage their own workload
  • Is a strong positive contributor even when the going gets tough
  • Has a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicles
  • Has the qualities to become a great ambassador for Bromford.
