We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join The FA as our Marketing Executive, within the Marketing Department.
Supporting the growth of grassroots football in England, with women and girls being a priority area, this role will support, co-ordinate and deliver ongoing marketing delivery with the aim to:
- Drive awareness of grassroots football opportunities to core audiences to increase participation.
- Support with the recruitment of programme providers to increase the number of opportunities to play in the community.
- Influence our grassroots community audience to deliver equal opportunities for women and girls.
What will you be doing?
- Be the marketing lead and point of contact for our grassroots community programmes.
- Work collaboratively with our Grassroots Team to achieve programme KPIs and objectives.
- Create and activate marketing plans to support delivery and recruitment of players and providers for our girls' casual football programmes, Squad and Wildcats.
- Support with the development and delivery of our UEFA Women's EURO 2025 campaign activations to maximise participant recruitment within the community.
- Work collaboratively with the Marketing Executive to drive awareness to our in-school audience of opportunities available for girls to play football in the community.
- Manage the marketing delivery for the new FA Walking Cup, including venue branding and campaign activation around the competition to maximise exposure and drive engagement.
- Support the Marketing Manager to activate the Women and Girls' campaign in the community space to support our equal opportunities ambition, with an objective to inspire and influence key audiences.
- As part of the Marketing Team, support in the evolution of JustPlay, delivering a refreshed creative identity and develop a targeted approach to ensure we are being relatable to key audiences.
- Develop and implement a participation led campaign, that showcases the breadth of playing opportunities and signposts players to FindFootball.
- Maximise engagement in our participation programmes through the CFA network.
- Be the brand guardian of all community programmes and develop and approve all relevant creative assets with our creative agencies.
- Share reporting, measurement and tracking of success through marketing channels.
- Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.
- As part of The FA's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for everyone in football, every employee will be required to complete a DBS check. The level of the check required will be based on the activity of the specific job role and in line with legislation and government guidance.

Experience:
- Proven experience in marketing.
- Excellent communicator with a positive, collaborative and flexible style.
- Experience managing a range of agencies and vendors.
- Demonstratable experience in writing briefs that bring campaign and activation plans to life.
- Strong project management skills, with experience in managing multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment, delivering work to deadlines and honouring commitments.
- Insight led in decision-making.
- Experience in reporting that brings campaign results and learnings to life.
Technical:
- Familiarity with multi-channel marketing and platforms, including digital, email, social media, OOH, and content marketing.
- A creative mindset, with the confidence to inject fresh ideas into the team and work streams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once, whist maintaining high standards and reaching deadlines.
- Excellent written English and proof-reading skills, with a strong eye for detail.
- Ability to champion brand guidelines and be a point of contact across their areas of work.

Our Organisation

We currently work within a hybrid working model whereby the expectation is to work from your contractual location for part of the week, and as and when required by the team. The remaining days can be worked remotely. We will continue to monitor this model and it may be adjusted in future if deemed necessary.
