Summary
Key Responsibilities: Undertake holistic assessments of patients health needs using an evidence-based framework and be able to assess and use sound clinical knowledge. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and the multidisciplinary team. Monitor therapeutic response to prescribed medications and monitor their effectiveness, adhering to prescribed protocols. Mental Health Assessments: Clinicians should have experience in completing mental health assessments and delivering evidence-based interventions in community settings Provide support and education to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatment plans. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulatory standards. Participate in regular team meetings, contributing to care planning and service development. Ensure adherence to all relevant policies, procedures, and legislation, including the Mental Health Act. Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence-based care In a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff. Essential Qualifications and Experience: Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification with a valid NMC registration. Minimum of 2-year post-registration experience in a mental health setting. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of current mental health legislation and best practices. Desirable Qualification: Certification in Management of Actual or Potential Aggression (MAPA) or Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA). Experience in specialized areas such as eating disorders, addictions, or child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS).
