Summary
We are seeking to recruit highly motivated administrators to join the community diagnostic centre at Mile End Hospital. The CDC is expanding Barts Health NHS Trust’s diagnostic service provision and we are looking to recruit a team to support the project.
The project will require scheduling and a waiting list management service for MRI, CT, Ultrasound, and Cardiac services. The successful candidate will be included on our rota to cover these areas as of when required(8am to 8pm, Monday-Sunday),which may include cross site cover. The main duties of the role will include ensuring that all clinics and lists are fully booked in line with the Trusts Access Policy, answering telephone queries and waiting list management. This is a multidisciplinary position that will enable the post holder to develop transferable skills.
Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills are essential. You will also need to be flexible, have an appreciation of the confidential nature of the work and be able to manage your workload to meet pre-determined targets.
Computer literacy would be essential as you will be expected to input and extract information from the Care Records System (CRS), Radiology Information System (RIS) and other software.

The post holder will be expected to provide a service to all sites, Mile End Hospital/ The Royal London within their given team. An up-to-date knowledge of all clinics will be needed to enable the post holder to make, amend, and cancel appointments and handle straightforward queries in all specialties as this will become a multi-skilled role; the post holder will need a working knowledge of all clinic protocols in addition to any specific standards for each clinic/specialty. The role will range from the
registration of new patient in all directorates, handling GP and patient queries for all clinics to making appointments using systems such as full and partially booked appointments. Main duties will be answering telephone calls from patients or GP’s wishing to make or change appointments or making general enquiries.
