We are looking to appoint a Heating Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary maintenance team responsible for the operation and maintenance of a wide range of services throughout the University Estate.
You will work as part of the Estates Trades Team and assist with the provision of maintenance duties to a wide variety of heating/hot water/mechanical plant on the University’s extensive and varied estate. You will work as part of a small team undertaking both reactive and planned maintenance duties, executing workmanship to a high standard and ensuring strict compliance with all Health and Safety legislation.
You should be flexible in your approach to work, and have a strong background in engineering, with. If you are a creative thinker, a problem-solver, and are eager to contribute to the development of clean energy solutions, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. You must have excellent communication skills and a keen and helpful manner. The ability to cope well under pressure, and the ability to demonstrate a flexible approach without supervision is essential. To be able to work effectively both independently and as a team. Excellent terms and conditions apply – 36.25 hours/week (working hours will vary between the hours of 7am and 6pm and specific timings will vary between work colleagues to suit any operational needs); 34 days annual leave plus 5 statutory days; contributory pension scheme.
You will be required to participate in the Estates Emergency Call Out Service.
