The role of a Solar Installer is critical in advancing the adoption of renewable energy across the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on a variety of properties, ensuring each project is completed to the highest standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growing renewable energy sector, working closely with a team of professionals committed to making a positive environmental impact.
Package: Negotiable hourly rate/salary + benefits (to be discussed based on experience and contract type)
Location: South UK (South Buckinghamshire, Oxford, Chesham)
Company Description: An established MCS and NAPIT accredited Solar PV business operating from over 13 years, priding itself on delivering systems to the highest designs and standards. Specialising in renewable energy, the company has a long history of providing engineering and operational excellence. It designs, builds, and operates facilities producing biogas, and specifies, installs, and maintains solar PV for commercial, agricultural, and domestic clients, offering solution-specific products for every project, accompanies with Energy Storage & EV solutions too.
Key Responsibilities:
Install solar PV systems on different types of roofs and ground-mounted systems.
Ensure all installations comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
Conduct site assessments to determine optimal solar panel placement.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to meet project timelines.
Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues promptly.
Provide clients with guidance on system operation and basic maintenance.
Experience & Skills Required:
Previous experience in solar PV installation or a related electrical field.
Strong understanding of electrical systems and relevant certifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation).
Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Full UK driving licence.
