We are looking for a dynamic expert in the field of patient safety to lead our corporate patient safety team.
This role will support the strategic and operational delivery of our patient safety strategy, including the Patient safety incident review framework (PSIRF).
This role is also responsible for the line management of the Datix team and the Lead for Human Factors role.

• To lead, manage, and develop the corporate patient safety team.
• To lead on the operation and development of the patient safety incident management policies and procedures.
• To lead on the corporate oversight of the Trust compliance with Duty of Candour requirements.
• To lead on the delivery and development of the Patient safety incident response framework (PSIRF).
• To act as the Trust’s Patient safety officer to meet the requirements of the national central alerting system (CAS).
• To lead on the delivery and evolvement of the Learning from deaths policy and procedures.
• To deliver and evolve the Datix risk management system.
• In collaboration with other experts within the Trust, lead on the design and delivery of patient safety educational programmes for the Trust
• To support governance oversight and reporting on all aspects of corporate patient safety measurement and monitoring.
