FIXED TERM - PART TIME ROLE - 18.75 hours per week

SpecialistRenalDietitian(band 6)based atWest Berkshire community hospital &Royal Berkshire Hospital,Reading. Part-time (18.75 hours)


This role isan excellentopportunity to joinourteam as a specialistrenaldietitian.


As the successful candidate, youwouldbe based at the Royal Berkshire Hospital,supporting patientswith kidney disease.Youwouldbe working with patients onhaemodialysisinaMDTsettingtohelpoptimisetheir nutrition.There will also be the opportunity to work alongside renal doctors and nurses in peritoneal dialysis and low clearance clinics.


Youwouldbe joining a team of over 20 committed and welcoming dietitians, who workin a range of specialist areas at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. Reading is the largest town in the UK with great shopping, eveningnight lifeandrestaurants,and London is less than half an hour by train.


We are a forward-thinking department that has a strong focus on a patient-centredservice. We encourage service development and have an established quality improvementprogrammedriving the service forward.


The role can accommodate flexible andsomeremote working. We would consider a band 5 applicant who would like to have an accelerated progression to band 6.

• Assessing and supporting patients with chronic kidneydisease

• Specialist interest inrenal dietetics with analmost exclusivelyoutpatient caseload

• Supportingstudents,juniorstaffand other dietitians with specialist knowledge

• Using a Quality Improvementprogrammeto lead service development

The “must haves” for this role:

• HCPC registered dietitian

• Experience working inthe NHS,with some renal experience preferred but not essential
