We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Dietetic Assistanttoworkina friendly teamof Dietitianswithin the Learning DisabilitiesService.Therole is to support the dietitians toprovidea range of clinical, educational and health promotional tasks acrossEast and WestBerkshire.


The working hours are 20 hours per weekwith flexible work pattern and some opportunities for home working.

• Toassistthe Specialist Dietitians for Adults with Learning Disabilities in the monitoring and follow up of patients requiring home visits across Berkshire.

• As part of the role, home visits and reviews are provided independently for patientsidentifiedby the dietitians.

• This includesweighingclients, review progress and deliver information to clients and their carers using agreed templates.

• Toidentifyareas of concern which require specialist clinician advice and to inform the clinician promptly.

• To provide clear and concise feedback to the dietitian on clinical activities and seek support promptly whenrequired.

• Toparticipatein health promotional activitiesundertaken by the Learning Disabilities team

• Todelivertraining tosmall groups of care homestaffin learning disability homes onMUSTandhealthy eating.
