The service provides care for patients with a wide variety of special needs, as well as providing a dental access service for those members of the community who have been unable to access treatment with an NHS General Dental Practitioner. Although you will need to have primary dental care experience, support and development opportunities may be provided to you in the following clinical areas as necessary: Full range of treatments for adults and children whose special needs have prevented them from accessing dental care through the General Dental Service. Urgent dental care for patients who have been unable to access treatment with a general dental practitioner. Dental screening of school children and other groups Epidemiological surveys Treatments carried out under General Anaesthetic in a hospital day unit, or conscious sedation within the dental clinic Involvement in Oral Health Promotion activities Domiciliary care Salary & Allowances: Band A - £44,955 - £67,433 (PRO-RATA) depending on experience. We are looking for candidates to join our friendly and well established Salaried Dental team. If you are looking for a new, exciting or development opportunity, providing excellent clinical care in Devon we would love to hear from you. Full GDC registration is essential. It would be desirable to hold a dental performer number but the organisation can help facilitate this if necessary. Working Pattern: 22.5 hours a week Location: Heavitree Hosptial, Exeter, Gladstone Road, EX1 2ED. Travel to our satellite clinics may become an opportunity once established in the service.
