Location: Hybrid working, with attendance at DAA sites and community events as required





THE ROLE

We have a new and exciting opportunity for an organised and engaging person to join DAA. The role of Community Engagement Officer
focuses on promoting and coordinating a programme of activities that support our prevention aims and improve health outcomes in
our communities. The post holder will deliver the "Help With all Your Heart" Community CPR and Defibrillator Training programme to
schools, community groups, and organisations across Devon, and support the development of future community training programmes.
Key responsibilities include creating networks and liaising with internal and external stakeholders, presenting information and
training in an engaging way, and collaborating with various teams to build and maintain good working relationships and deliver
joint initiatives.





THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have experience in first aid or health training, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work
independently. They will also be responsible for planning and organising training programmes and supporting the development of new
community training initiatives. Additionally, the role requires occasional physical effort for event setup, and due to the
public-facing role, the postholder may be exposed to distressing conversations or circumstances

THE PACKAGE

Salary: £34,000 per annum pro rata.
