Postdoctoral Research Associate in Molten Salt Processing

Applications are invited for a temporary, full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate in Molten Salt Processing in the Nuclear Futures Institute in the School of Computer Science and Engineering.
As part of EP/X011607/1 - A molten salt community framework for predictive modelling of critical characteristics at Bangor University we are looking for a Research Associate who can conduct high temperature experiments on molten salts (LKE) and support with CALPHAD modelling. As part of this program, we are interested in exploring filtration and solid oxide removal from molten salts.
Candidates should hold a PhD in a Science or Engineering discipline (or be near to completion) or have relevant equivalent experience. Candidates will have experience of high temperature experimental work with molten salts.
The successful candidate will be expected to commence on 01/09/2024 or as soon as possible thereafter and the post is available for a period of 12 months.
This role will be located on campus at Bangor. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
