Talent Acquisition Coordinator
Hybrid – Solihull
Full Time, Permanent
Up to £26,000 per annum plus benefits
Here at Serco, we’re seeking a dedicated Talent Acquisition Coordinator to join our dynamic team to recruit for our Defence Business Unit. As a key player in our Talent Acquisition (TA) team, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process and supporting the delivery of top-tier corporate talent for our organisation.
Day-to-Day you'll liaise with hiring managers on recruitment needs, advising on suitable attraction methods and ensuring roles are advertised in line with our talent brand. Your role will include facilitating recruitment events, screening candidates, booking & organising interviews, managing the verbal offer process and well as supporting hiring managers through the onboarding process. Diversity and Inclusion is important to us, so you’ll be an ambassador to all your stakeholders – ensuring that there is a diverse and inclusive selection process and challenging your managers appropriately.
This is an exciting opportunity to take a proactive approach to sourcing candidates in this challenging recruitment market, using your strong communication skills to work closely with a diverse set of stakeholders. You will also get stuck into some great recruitment projects, providing variety and autonomy in your role.
As part of this you’ll:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process including sourcing, candidate screening, assessment and selection, stakeholder and offer management.
- Hire across a wide variety of Defence sites including both air and marine.
- Liaise closely with the Talent Acquisition Specialist to create and deliver proactive and innovative sourcing strategies as appropriate.
- Deliver an outstanding candidate experience, including swift feedback and timely offer generations.
- Become a trusted recruitment source for hiring managers, building excellent relationships.
- Utilise systems and processes to ensure data integrity, enabling accurate data tracking and reporting.
- Take a hands-on approach to recruitment projects and initiatives.
- Involvement in Graduate and Apprenticeship recruitment.
What you’ll need to do the role:
- Due to the nature of this role, we are ideally seeking candidates who have demonstrable experience recruiting, either in-house, RPO or agency.
- To be successful in this role you need to be organised, able to plan and prioritize multiple recruitment campaigns, and be a real people person.
- As well as having good verbal and written communication skills you'll be naturally organised and comfortable dealing with a variety of tasks.
- You'll be speaking with candidates and with other members of the team daily, so you'll need confidence and professionalism even when under pressure.
- We use a variety of online tools and technology, so you’ll be happy working with Office 365 applications and can easily turn your hand to online systems and tools, including ATS technology.
- Motivation and passion about delivering an excellent candidate and hiring manager experience.
- Experience in early careers recruitment would be advantageous.
What we offer:
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Annual leave purchase scheme.
- Up to 6% contributory pension scheme
- Flexible working options.
- A Serco benefits portal offering a wide range of discounts for major high street brands in Retail, Leisure & Hospitality.
- A range of benefits to support the health and wellbeing of you and your family such as Employee Assistance Programme, Health Cash Plans, free flu jabs and more.
- A wealth of career development training to suit your future aspirations. These range from role specific training, leadership coaching, formal study and much more to support you to build your career with Serco.
- A safe and supportive culture.
- A company passionate about diversity and inclusion.
- Flexibility to work from home 4 days per week.
